Three Project Ideas

1. Three piece collection inspired by one or three photographs of Indian culture which could include architecture, color, pattern, material, people, dress, religion, etc. At the end the pieces would be displayed with the corresponding photographs.

For the photographs I would create a theme and concept inspired by my environment here (could be more cultural or aesthetic) and then apply these into the development of the garments using Indian silks and brocades and possibly patterns created by crochet.

2. Painting/Collage/Quilt

Starting with a photographic image rich in texture and pattern, I would then begin to develop this into a mixture of painting quilting and embroidery to create a final piece.

3. Three piece collection using a mixture of textiles and alternative materials common or important in Indian culture (bells? flowers?)

The pieces could reflect the role or importance of the materials they're made from while being functional garments.
